- Day 1: Kampala-Murchison falls NPark via Ziwa rhino sanctuary
- Day 2:Game drive-Boat cruise to the bottom of the falls
- Day 3: Transfer-Fort portal
- Day 4: Amabere ga nyinamwiru caves and hike to the craters – transfer to queen Elizabeth national park
- Day 5: Lion tracking (experiential)
- Day 6: Transfer to Mgahinga National Park
- Day 7: Gorilla tracking
- Day 8: Batwa trail/volcano hike/golden monkey trekking
- Day 9: Transfer back to the airport, either Kigali international airport(Rwanda) or back to Entebbe international airport.
Day 1: Kampala-Murchison Falls National park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
The guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe and transfer to Ziwa rhino sanctuary (which is about 2.30hours) where you will have a chance to walk with the rhinos (rhino tracking). You will then transfer to Murchison falls national park (which is about 3hours drive). With lunch enroute at Kabalega diners. You will check in at Paraa safari lodge where you will have your dinner and spend the night. And if time allows we will have an evening game drive before we check-in to the lodge.
Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise to the bottom of the falls
At 6,15am, have a cup of coffee, then with your packed breakfast you will go for the early morning game drive up to the delta point along the albert Nile. You will expect to see lions, leopards. African elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, different antelopes, hyenas. Birds species like ground horn bill, if lucky you will spot the shoe bill. This activity takes about 4-5 hours. Return to the lodge refresh and have lunch. At 2.15 pm, you will go for the boat cruise on the Nile which will take you to the bottom of the falls. As you cruise you will expect to see, hippos, crocodiles, water birds and other aquatic animals. At the end of the cruise, you will hike to the top of the falls and have clear view of the magnificent Murchison falls. Your r guide will already be there waiting to drive you back to the lodge.
Day 3: Transfer-Fort portal
Have breakfast at the lodge and then check out. With your packed lunch you will drive to Fortportal a journey that will take about 6-7hours. Along the way you will see the local communities. Check in at mountains of the moon where you will have your dinner and spend the night.
Day 4: Nature Walk–Queen Elizabeth national park
After your breakfast at the hotel, you will drive about 4km away from fort portal town. You will then walk to the Amabere ga nyinamwiru caves. This place has a great cultural history of the Batoro kingdom which is interesting to learn about. You will then proceed to hike some hill which will offer you a great view of the 2 crater lakes and beautiful scenery of the surrounding area. If the weather is clear, you will have a great view of the snowcapped Rwenzori mountain top.
You will have lunch at gardens restaurant and then transfer to queen Elizabeth national park (2hours). Check in at Engazi lodge where you will have dinner and spend the night. If time allows, you will do an evening game drive.
Day 5: Lion tracking (experiential)
You will have breakfast at the lodge at around 6,30am and then you will drive to track the lions. As you track the lions, you will expect to see animals like elephants, buffaloes, leopards, different antelopes. This activity takes about 4-5hours. You will have lunch at the mweya peninsula. At 2pm, you will go for a boat cruise at the kazinga channel where you will expect to see animals like hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants and some birds like the African fish eagle, pied king fishers, among others. You will then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Transfer to Mgahinga National Park
After your breakfast, with packed lunch, you will transfer to mgahinga national park via the ishasha sector where you will expect to see the tree climbing lions. Check in at lake mutanda resort, have dinner and spend the night.
Day 7: Gorilla tracking
After you breakfast, drive to your respective point of tracking. You will have a short briefing about the activity by the park guide and start the activity. You will track the gorillas for about 4 hours or more depending on the movements of these great gentle apes. The chances of seeing the gorillas are 99%. Once you find them you will only be given an hour to spend with the gorillas. You will see how they spend their daily lives as well as you will take photos. You will then return to the lodge refresh and have lunch. Dinner and overnight at the resort.
Day 8: Community Walk-Golden monkey tracking
Batwa trail. This takes you through a hike to the homesteads of the pygimies/batwa who were the indigenous people of the region, who use to live in the same area with the mountain gorillas. This is a full day activity.
Volcano hike. It’s a full day activity. It takes you to the top of sabinyo or muhabura dormant volcanoes. Active fitness is required to do this hike. You will have a chance to see the Virunga massif.
Golden monkeys. These are well habituated specie of monkey that is only found in the Virunga massif. This can take half day just like gorilla trekking

Day 9: Transfer-Rwanda/ Kampala
On this day we live it up to you to decide. You will either choose to fly out from Kigali which is a 4 hours’ drive from Kisoro or Entebbe airport which is 9 hours drive from Kisoro.
