Ruhija Sector accommodation

Ruhija is located in the eastern part of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and it is one of the four regions of gorilla tracking in Uganda. This region has more than 4 habituated gorilla families which are available to visitors to explore every day as long as they meet the standards such as valid gorilla permits, age and health.

Bakiga Lodge

This is a mid-range lodge, situated in the Ruhija sector of Bwindi impenetrable national park, just a few minutes’ drive from the Gorilla Trekking meeting point. Built on the top of a beautiful valley overlooking Bwindi Forest, Bakiga lodge is a wonderful accommodation for visitors looking for a real African experience with great views of Bwindi impenetrable forest. They offer warm African service and fantastic food.

The Lodge offers 6 family Cabins and 2 twin tents, all self-contained with ensuite bathrooms and spectacular views. Relax in comfort around the fire or at the bar after your Gorilla Trek or bird watching tour. WIFI internet is available at the lodge.

Broadbill Forest Camp

Broadbill Forest Camp is positioned in Ruhija sector to the east of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where gorilla trekking in Uganda takes place. This locally runs Eco lodge is one of the community lodges in northern sector of Bwindi impenetrable national park. The lodge aims at empowering the local communities.  This midrange lodge is located in a calm and peaceful setting with breathtaking views of the impenetrable forest.

Cuckoo land tented lodge

The lodge is located in the south western part of Uganda at the edge of Bwindi impenetrable forest National park about 40minute drive from Ruhija gorilla trekking centre it’s a mid-range accommodation lodge providing very comfortable safari tents built and designed in an African architecture.

Accommodation contains exclusively furnished safari tented houses on wooden platforms with lavish botanical gardens for relaxation and often visited by gorillas. The Cuckoo land tented lodge, is situated in a very peaceful quite place within the forest with only chattering of birds.

Gorilla mist camp

Ruhija Gorilla Safari Lodge

It is located in the middle of Bwindi forest and it is said to be one of the most comfortable and hospitable lodges to be. It is good for the luxurious and mid- range visitors with facilities such as an incredible chalet accommodation, dinning, Dstv, free Wifi, gift shop with unique gifts, tea and coffee facilities, well stocked bar, hair dryer, wine cellar and a small library with amazing books about our continent Africa.

Buhoma Sector accommodation

Buhoma is populated with tourists because it was the first place in Uganda where gorilla trekking started from and the first group of tourists to see gorillas in Uganda did it in Buhoma and it was in the year 1993. Buhoma has the oldest gorilla family which is called Mubare which currently has about 9 members.

Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp

Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp, it is one of the only two lodges found deep inside Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. It is positioned on the top of a flat ridge; the camp is one of the best luxury camps to stay in Buhoma sector in Bwindi impenetrable national park. The camp being situated inside the park provide a favorable opportunity to the guests to have breathtaking views of the Bwindi forest and wildlife species such as various birds sing in their  sweet melodies hence making your stay at the camp a memorable one. Silverback lodge is situated high above the valley overlooking the beautiful Bwindi forest located in the Buhoma sector of Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park. Silverback is located about 5 minutes to walk from the lodge to Buhoma sector Uganda Wildlife Authority offices. Silverback Lodge is a perfect place for relaxing and enjoying the magnificent landscape of Bwindi impenetrable forest national park.

Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge

Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge is found in the primeval Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park Buhoma sector, it is a finest luxury relaxing lodge at Bwindi. Since Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge is overlooking the Bwindi forest, it has dramatic intense views of the forest canopy across a serene water stream making it one of Africa’s unique safari lodges in Buhoma sector. This is one of the mid-range standard accommodation facilities located in Buhoma sector with amazing views of the Bwindi forest national park. It is about 5 minutes’ walk from Buhoma park headquarters thus making it an ideal facility to stay before and after gorilla trekking. Engagi Lodge has 8 accommodation Cottages all overlooking the forest, each cottage has a verandah where you can relax in the evening and you may decide to be served your meals from the verandah. All rooms are self-contained with en suite bathrooms, well-spaced with unique location making them extra private.

Buhoma community rest camp

This rest camp is a beautiful budget accommodation which was community established so as to benefit the people of Buhoma community and therefore if u choose to  use this place then be assured that you are helping someone out there in Buhoma community so it is good for adventure. It has bandas that are cabins and also has dormitories and self-contained tents which are very comfortable and good for adventure.

Some of the facilities or services offered here include, a camping site for individuals who enjoy the beauty of being close to nature, 6 well fitted safari tents that are self-contained with a fantastic view of the forest, two properly furnished cottages, 5 twin cottages bandas that not self-contained but locally built and looking so beautiful, they have well a stocked bar with beers, spirits, wines, water and sodas, their restaurant offers both local and foreign foods with professional chefs and as the sun rises in the morning you will be served a very hefty breakfast before you go for your gorilla trekking.

Buhoma haven lodge 

This is a mid-range lodge located in the northern part of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and accommodates visitors who come to the park. The lodge consists of 6 eye catching twin cottages, 3 self-contained cottages, self- contained en suite safari tents, 2 non self-contained bandas and 1 family cottage which is all self- contained ensuite. They also offer a dormitory of 6 beds just like any other camp would.

They offer services such as, breakfast with fresh fruits, eggs in different variations such as scrambled, fried, boiled, and poached or omelet, the lodge contains a restaurant with fresh foods which will stimulate your appetite, it contains a well-stocked bar with beers, sodas, spirits, wines and water. They also offer laundry services to their clients have stable Wi-Fi for their clients, car parking space and craft shop with local African gifts like clothes and some safari items.

Ride 4 A women Guest House

This is a guest house is found in Buhoma sector of Bwindi impenetrable national park approximately17 kilometers from Kanungu town Centre and very and with walk able distance to the Buhoma sector entrance making it a convenient place to stay before and after gorilla trekking.

Ride 4 a woman guest house is community based project helping to drive the local economy and supporting the progress of women and their families in the community by providing job opportunities to locals, Empowering women with microfinance and investing in community developing projects like providing clean water to the community, constructing schools and hospitals. Bwindi View Bandas

The Bwindi View Bandas are located in Buhoma sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park providing budget accommodation services to visitors on a gorilla trekking safari to Buhoma sector in Bwindi impenetrable national park. Bwindi View Bandas is approximately 100 metres from the Buhoma sector entrance thus making it an ideal place to relax to travelers traveling on a budget. The Bandas were built in a way that each has a beautiful view overlooking Bwindi forest.

Rushaga Sector accommodation

This is the sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which has the most gorilla families and also one of the most scenic areas of the park and many lodges and other places of accommodation have sprung up here because of these beautiful scenic views.

Ichumbi gorilla lodge 

This is a mid-range and luxurious lodge whose name (Ichumbi) is a local Rufumbira dialect which means a ‘cool’ comfortable home. It is just about a 10 minute walk to Rushaga gate of Bwindi impenetrable national park and it gives you a spectacular view of Bwindi impenetrable national park at the comfort of your room.

Rushaga gorilla havens lodge is a mid-range lodge located in Ryarutogara which is a local word which means hills and it is found in the rolling stones of Kisoro district in the south western part of the country. Its strategic location will make you enjoy relaxing here as the fresh winds from the hill blow your face as you are chilling in the garden.

It has a good accommodation with non-smoking rooms, well stocked bar and restaurant, high speed Wifi, free parking area, free breakfast, pets are allowed and children activities are available.

Chameleon hill lodge

It is located in Kisoro district in the Southwest of Uganda and it is between the two national parks that is Bwindi impenetrable national park and Mgahinga national park. This lodge is located, near the shores nice looking Lake Mutanda and it is one of the best tourist destinations in South West part of Uganda with flawless remarkable views of the virunga volcanoes, Hills and the stunning lake Mutanda.

This lodge contains ten chalets with five double rooms and five twins, two beds in twins rooms, one large bed in double rooms, and extra beds are also available when needed by our clients.

Bwindi Jungle Lodge

The lodge is located on Lake Mulehe, Mucha area, about 10 km from Kisoro town along the road to Rubuguri. It is about 20 km from the Southern gate of Bwindi National Park in Rushaga and Nkuringo. The lodge is located a few kilometers away from Kisoro Airstrip, where landing domestic flights from Entebbe Airport connecting to the Southern sector of Bwindi National Park land.

This is a beautiful location, ideal for the tourist activities in Bwindi National Park (Southern sector) and Mgahinga National Park. The lodge, embedded into a forest cover, enjoys the peace of the Lake, it is a natural birding area and it has a natural bay on the shores of the lake.

Bwindi Jungle Lodge is made by cottages, all en-suite and with raised verandah overlooking Lake Mulehe, built using the local volcanic stones and timber.

Gorilla Leisure Lodge

Gorilla Leisure lodge is tranquil, hushed and framed by Bwindi forest, and the rolling, volcanic landscapes of the deep green Kisoro hills. Their interior is largely made of well-polished wood. It has graduated from a low budget camp formerly known as Nkuringo gorilla camp to a fully well-established mid-range lodge.

Accommodation in at lodge comprises of the 8 garden cottages, the 3 villas made up of 2 interconnecting superior cottages and 1 family villa with a balcony which is shared and all the cottages are made locally using local materials, every cottage has a sitting area fire place, a private balcony and ensuite bathroom.
