Detailed Itinerary of the 14 Days Uganda Safari

Day 1: Arrival and transfer your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala

On the 14 Days Uganda Safari, you shall meet our driver guide from the company who picks you up at the airport then transfer you to Kampala depending on arrival time. If you arrive earlier, the driver will take you for a tour of Entebbe or Kampala city then to your lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls national park via Ziwa rhino sanctuary

Landcruiser HardtopWake up early in the morning, take breakfast and set off for the Murchison Falls National Park. On your way, you will pass via the stunning countryside of Uganda including the Luwero triangle. Briefly, you shall stop at the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to engage in precise Rhino Trekking.

Lunch will be at Amuka lodge before getting to Murchison falls national park where you reach and proceed on a hike to the top of the Murchison falls which squeeze through an 8 meter wide gorge before dropping with a thunderous roar. After the guided nature walk to the top of the falls, you continue to lodge for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 3: Early morning Game drive and a boat cruise along the river Nile

Early morning breakfast then transfer for a morning Game Drive in the Park. You shall traverse from one track to another watching many wildlife animals wander around their natural vegetation habitat. You shall watch animals like leopards, buffaloes, lions and elephants. After the Game Drive, you shall break off for lunch then later proceed to the Victoria Nile where you enjoy a Boat Cruise to the  bottom of the Falls for a period of 3 hours as you watch hippos and crocodiles beneath the waters. Take many photos to keep then later continue to the shores were you leave from to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park

You will wake up at your own time and take breakfast then proceed to the vast famous Kibale national park. The journey is quite long taking a period of 6 to 7 hours viewing Uganda’s stunning countryside, many landmarks and locals going about with their lives. Lunch is en-route at Fort Portal. Afterwards, you shall visit the headquarters of the Tooro Kingdom then later get to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking at Kibale National Park and transfer to Queen Elizabeth Park

After a breakfast, the driver takes you to the Kibale national park offices for precise briefing on chimpanzee tracking conduct in the presence of the Chimpanzees. The guides/Rangers will let you know all information regarding tracking the chimpanzees in the forest. Kibale National Park is the best place to track chimpanzees in the world.

The chances of spotting the Chimpanzees are very high and there are 4 communities that are habituated to be trekked by the trekkers. Chimps are fond of staying on top of trees compared to mountain gorillas. They are also more vocal hence allowing them to be located from kilometers away. Chimpanzee trekking takes between 3 to 5 hours after which, you will head back to your lodge for lunch and rest. Our driver will then transfer you to Queen Elizabeth national park in the evening. The journey takes only 2 hours.

Day 6: Game drive and launch cruise at the Kazinga Channel of Queen Elizabeth Park

Queen ElizabethWake up very early have breakfast then transfer to the Kasenyi sector of Queen Elizabeth national park in Uganda. On the Game Drive in the morning, you shall get to traverse one track to another watching nocturnal animals retreating back to their dens and also the early risers.  The animals you watch include; leopards, hippos, lions, buffaloes, hartebeests and migratory birds. After your game drive, you will return to have lunch then at at 2:00 pm, you will proceed to the Kazinga Channel for a launch cruise at the Kazinga Channel. The cruise takes a period of 3 hours watching many schools of hippo, crocodiles and bird species. After the cruise, you shall return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 7: Game drive in the Ishasha sector and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park

Early breakfast then prepare for your second game drive in Queen Elizabeth national park. This time, transfer to the Ishasha sector of the park known for the Tree Climbing Lions. Proceed on Game Drive watching other park mammals that you might not have sighted during your visit to other sections of the park. After spotting the tree climbing lions of Ishasha, leave the park and embark on the journey to Bwindi impenetrable forest park. Lunch is en-route then later embark on journey to the Bwindi impenetrable forest park where you reach in the late afternoon. ON reaching the Park, proceed to check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 8: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi impenetrable forest and Visiting the Batwa Pygmies

Wake up early and take breakfast before heading for the briefing about gorilla trekking which takes place at the park office at 7:00 am. The head guide will peruse through the requirements and rules for gorilla trekking, what to expect, the gorilla groups and what to see in the park. Bwindi impenetrable forest park has 11 gorilla families with some living near the park offices while others deeper in the forest.

Once the one hour with the gorillas is done, you will head back to the starting point where you will find our driver waiting for you. The driver will take you back to the lodge for lunch and rest. Later in the afternoon, you will go and visit the Batwa pygmy community who live close to the park. They were relocated by the government after the forest reserve was turned into a park.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for bird watching, sightseeing and a boat ride

Wake up to have breakfast at your own time and get ready to be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is a famous spot for birding tours in Uganda and sightseeing. It is a small lake with over 40 islands and is ideal for honeymooners and those who want a quiet, serene and romantic place. You will go for a boat ride and island hopping as you watch the local fishermen carrying out their activities.  You could also visit the punishment island. This is where young girls who had conceived before wedlock were abandoned to die. Most were rescued by men who couldn’t afford bride price.

Day 10: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Depart for Lake Mburo National Park after Mbarara Town known to be one of Uganda’s most accessible savannah parks inhabiting many wildlife animals i.e zebras, impalas, buffaloes, beautiful acacia landscapes. Enjoy scenic countryside views and optional stopovers along the way till you reach the park after a period of 6 to 7 hours. On reaching the Park, you shall enjoy relaxation then Dinner and Overnight. Day 11: Game Drive & Boat Cruise at Lake Mburo National Park

Start the day with an early morning game drive which offers you a chance to watch many early morning riser animals as they hunt for prey. These include; lions, leopard, hyenas etc. After, proceed on Game Drive watching animals like giraffes, zebras, elands, warthogs, and various bird species. Break off for lunch then in the afternoon, proceed on a boat cruise along Lake Mburo where you watch many hippos, crocodiles and aquatic birdlife along the shores. Day 12: Transfer to Jinja

After breakfast in the Morning you shall depart for Jinja located in the Eastern Part of Uganda. En-route enjoy views of the green terrain, bord species as well as lunch. You shall pass via the green Mabira Forest where you can engage in Zip lining or guided nature walks then after continue to the Town. On reaching Jinja, you shall continue to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Haven Lodge Jinja.

Day 13: White Water Rafting & Boat Cruise at the Source of the Nile

Morning Breakfast then continue to the source of River Nile to enjoy white water rafting. You shall be briefed on conduct as you beat the rapids then later, you are located into groups and later embark on adventure choosing from Grade 1 to Grade 5 for a period of 3 hours. After the adventure, you can have some lunch or refreshments then later prefer to go to the source of the Nile in Jinja. Day 14: Departure to Kampala or Entebbe
